Collecting the New Car
There is an ongoing discussion about whether the car is called Kermit or Mike Wzowski, we generally prefer Mike Wzowski, but sometimes it is confusing having to Mike's in the team!
The MAD-Racing car is based agent silver striker chassis with a 90,000 mile Escort GTi engine slapped in the front. Bits of the car have been racing for over a decade, but we like to think that all the important bits are a little bit newer than that! The car weighs about 550 kg and puts out around 172 brake horsepower making it about 70% more powerful than the Des and Al Racing Locost. It runs on Yokohama, A048R semi slick tyres under cheese lap times. Between five and 10 seconds a lap quicker than the old Locost.

Hello Chaps!
Nice car, are you doing all the 750 rounds?
I have "Spinner" the Locost nearly ready for the coming season but still need to get the front end re-worked as Luago Steve the Muppet decided to adjust the forward front wishbone hangers by 1.5cm without changing the rear front wishbone hangers (if you get my drift) so it handled like a pig as the wishbones needed to be forced in with a crowbar - thanks Steve.
So who's actually going to drive this year?
Oh, I think you mean two/2 Mikes not to
Spencer Locost #69 oooh errrr missus
Hey Spencer, Alex here - also 69, SPOOKY or what.
We have a plan to attend all meetings for the 750 Kits, all 3 of us are sharing the car, so it should keep everyone guessing as to who is racing where!!
We shall look forward to seeing you at Snetterton, in the gales no doubt.
Rooling road is booked for 21st Feb, so we're a little frantic at the moment - the car's in pieces!

Are you going to the test day on the 6th March?
Nah, but are booked at Snett on the 1st March, Open Pit all day, 104dBa limit, £169. Seems too good to be true, esp since we have x3 races there this year.....Al
